Anthony W. Yankowsky

Anthony (Tony) W. Yankowsky  of Reading, Pennsylvania, died May 21, 2023. He was a chemistry major at Muhlenberg, a member of Lambda Chi Alpha and played football on scholarship. He earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Maryland. He worked in research and development for Fibers Industries, Celanese and Allied Signal and was awarded multiple patents in finish research. He retired in 1999 as the director of finish research at Honeywell.  He was president of the Richmond Bonsai Society and the Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield, where he also taught multiple history classes. Survivors include his wife, Shirley, his two children (Alan and Kathryn) and five grandchildren.
